Planning Activity
- PendingAT/2026/0288T002 - x1 Mature Holm Oak (Quercus ilex) Re-pollard the tree back to its previous established pollard points. Remove the heavy, overextended regrowth from the upper crown to reduce loading on the existing branch unions and areas of decay and cavities. Undertake works carefully around the historic pollard points, retaining the main structural framework of the tree where practicable. Remove all resulting branches and timber from site. Works to be undertaken within the recommended 6-month timescale. All works subject to obtaining the necessary Tree Preservation Order (TPO) consent or Conservation Area approval from the Local Planning Authority prior to commencement. All pruning cuts to be made at suitable growth points where practicable, taking account of the existing pollard framework. Final cuts will be made at previous pruning points at approximately 7m from ground level. All works carried out to BS 3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations. Remove all cut material from site & return to a Teign Trees depot for recycling, leaving the area safe, clean & tidy.
- PendingP/2026/0643Non Material Amendment to P/2025/0689. Amendments sought: Minor facade alterations and window placements.
- PendingAT/2026/0284T1 - Oak Reason for works: T1 stands adjacent to a telecommunications pole in a restricted growing space and is overshadowed by larger neighbouring trees. Competition for light appears to have influenced its asymmetrical crown development. Branches extend towards and amongst the overhead BT telecommunications lines. Selective pruning is proposed to address this conflict and reduce the likelihood of further interference. Proposed works: Selectively shorten branches affecting the overhead BT telecommunications lines by approximately 1-1.5 metres, measured from the existing branch tips, pruning back to suitable lateral branches. Restrict pruning to the affected branches, retaining sufficient live foliage and preserving the tree's existing crown character as far as practicable. Undertake works in accordance with BS 3998:2010 Tree work - Recommendations.
