Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 June 2026
This document is a good-faith draft provided for transparency. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before you rely on it.
This Cookie Policy explains how HomePortfolio Ltd (“HomePortfolio”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our website and service (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. We use cookies in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site operators. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, which serve comparable purposes; references to “cookies” in this policy include those technologies. Cookies may be set by us (“first-party”) or by the third-party providers we use (“third-party”), and may last only for your visit (“session”) or persist across visits (“persistent”).
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies set by Supabase to authenticate you and maintain your session, and a cookie that remembers your cookie preferences. Because they are essential, they do not require consent under PECR, but we still tell you about them here.
Analytics cookies
We use PostHog to understand how the Service is used so that we can improve performance, usability and features. These cookies collect information about pages and features used and events triggered. They are non-essential and are only set where you have given consent (or where consent is otherwise not required), and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Advertising cookies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell your data to advertisers and we do not run third-party ad networks on the Service.
3. Cookies we use
The table below lists representative cookies we use. Exact cookie names, identifiers and durations can vary as our providers update their software; this list is kept up to date on a best-efforts basis.
| Cookie | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token | Supabase | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and maintains your authenticated session. | Session / up to ~1 year |
| Auth state cookie | HomePortfolio | Strictly necessary | Tracks sign-in state so protected pages load correctly and securely. | Session |
| Cookie consent preference | HomePortfolio | Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask on every visit and honour your analytics preference. | Up to 12 months |
| ph_* (e.g. ph_<id>_posthog) | PostHog | Analytics | Measures how the Service is used (pages, features and events) so we can improve it. Set only with your consent. | Up to 12 months |
4. How to control cookies
You have several ways to control or limit how cookies are used:
- In-app controls. Where we offer a cookie consent control, you can use it to accept or decline non-essential (analytics) cookies and to change your choice later. Declining analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the core Service.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and local storage through their settings. Refer to your browser’s help pages for guidance (for example, Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service, such as signing in, from working.
- Device controls. You can also clear stored site data for our domain from your device at any time.
Because strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to operate (for example, to keep you signed in), they cannot be disabled through our consent control while you use authenticated features.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for legal or operational reasons. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Please revisit this page periodically to stay informed.
6. More information
For more detail on how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about our use of cookies, contact us at [email protected].
