I am applying to fell a sycamore tree. The tree is close to the wall between my garden and the car park belonging to the public house next door, the Anglers Rest. The roots of the tree and its canopy spread over both my garden and the pub car park, which includes parking, a shelter for drinkers and numerous picnic tables for the use of patrons. There is also a telegraph pole used for internet and phone wires at the end of the wall. The wall between my garden and car park by the tree has already cracked in several places. I am concerned that the tree could cause further damage. In addition, if branches break off during bad weather (which has happened before), it's a risk to the public using the pub and their cars, as well as to us in the garden. The telegraph pole is vulnerable if the tree is more substantially damaged. I am attaching to this submission a document which includes a sketch plan to indicate the position of the tree and some photos in support of the points made above. ... read more
